Homesick

Homesick is a 2D horror game where you play a young woman visiting the abandoned house where her brother and his wife and children were murdered.

When she arrives, the first thing she notices is that the lights are not working, so she has to use her flashlight. Soon after getting in the house, she realizes that the door has mysteriously gotten stuck, and then discovers she is not alone.

Some sort of ghost armed with a pair of enormous butcher knives is following your protagonist throughout the house. Your task is twofold: to discover what happened in the house and to stop the creature from killing your character.

To do this, you'll have to try to keep the lights off as long as possible and not make any noise running. Still, no matter what happens, you'll never be entirely safe.

Homesick is a 2D horror game that manages to be genuinely terrifying. You're guaranteed to jump in your chair every time the ghost appears.
